Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis (BHGHSTL), a 501(c)(3) organization that helps academically motivated students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds and become successful in college and beyond, recently hired Tim Sullivan as Director of Development.
In his role, Sullivan will manage and cultivate relationships with individual donors and board members to maximize revenue and resource development while overseeing the efforts of special events and marketing activities. He will engage and inspire an active community of support for BHGHSTL and convey a passion for its mission.
Sullivan comes to BHGHSTL from De Smet Jesuit High School where he served for nine years as Director of Enrollment Management and, more recently, as Director of Parent Engagement. Prior to De Smet, he was the Director of the Annual Catholic Appeal at the Archdiocese of St. Louis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Maryville University. Sullivan and his wife, Michelle, a grade school teacher, are parents of four and are active in St. Margaret Mary parish.
Major Gifts Officer Jan Wacker says, “I am excited to have Tim as my replacement as I prepare to reduce my hours in my new role as Major Gifts Officer. Tim brings years of experience building relationships. His expertise along with his passion to support our scholars as they work to become young men and women for others will only strengthen donor and community relations.”
“I’m humbled and excited to lead the development efforts and expand upon the great works already in place,” says Sullivan. “I am grateful to join such a tremendous organization. I’m inspired by the mission, love working with kids, and being a small part of their formation. I enjoy fundraising for a cause that I am passionate about. I have seen firsthand the enormous impact BHGHSTL can make in a young person’s life.”
