In support of Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis’s mission and values, the Clinical Therapist is responsible for the social-emotional health of the scholars and the development and support of our residential team. This individual is responsible for providing and coordinating therapy and wellness services and ensuring that the organization is effectively supporting the holistic health and overall success of the scholars and employees. The clinical Therapist is responsible for the overall design, implementation, and execution of BHGH of STL’s counseling and wellness pro
grams. The Clinical Therapist works with teachers, parents, schools, and residential team to help scholars thrive and supports residential team in their growth and professional development.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is focused primarily upon the operations of the residential homes and includes responsibility for serving the program’s scholars and advancing the organization’s mission. The position requires annual participation in continuing education, satisfied through in-house programs offered by Boys Hope Girls Hope or third party providers. The position will have at least an annual performance evaluation. While working within a home team schedule, employees will be required to be flexible regarding the 24 hours, seven days a week needs of the Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars.
Clinical Therapists may need to be available for the 24-hour call for Emergencies and Critical Incidents. It is the clinical Therapist’s responsibility to inform the Executive Director when he or she will be unable to serve on-call duties at least one week in advance, except for emergencies, so that other arrangements can be made.
