Maddy came to Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis as a teenager equipped with the traits she needed to be successful in life. She was bright, motivated, resilient, and hard-working. Due to a difficult family situation, however, she lacked the support and resources to reach her full potential. The partnerships and opportunities provided through the BHGHSTL program enabled Maddy to capitalize on her strengths and grow into the incredible woman she is today.

Maddy’s journey began in 5th grade with BHGHSTL educational partner, St. Peter Catholic School in Kirkwood. She went on to attend John F. Kennedy High School, where she excelled academically and consistently volunteered at least 40 hours each semester. After high school, Maddy attended Webster University, where she received a degree in Business in just three years.

Her commitment to Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis, including the three years she served as the Associate Board President, helped raise nearly $100,000 for our scholars. Maddy led by example taking an active role in all Associate Board activities while also mentoring and tutoring the young women in our Girls House. During her tenure as a Senior Human Resource Manager at HOK, Maddy fostered a relationship that resulted in the company supporting our Evening of Hope gala.

Last fall, Maddy was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as a member of its “40 Under 40” class of 2021. Maddy recently accepted a position as Employee Relations and Compliance Manager at Arcadis. She and her husband, Jay, have two daughters and reside in Webster Groves where she is active in several organizations and serves on the Webster Groves Planning Commission.

Maddy is truly an example of the transformative power of partnering with youth to provide them opportunities to build on their strengths.
