Thank you for your interest in supporting our scholars. We would not be able to do our work without the support of volunteers, as you are partners and co-deliverers of our services. We need our communities to share our vision and take action to empower our scholars.
During the school year, we have several programming events and other opportunities that come up where we could use additional support. We believe in connecting our scholars with individuals they can look up to or relate to in any way.

Volunteering for Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis requires an application and interview, and most positions require a background screening.

WAYS TO CONNECT & SERVE
ACADEMIC MENTOR
Mentors impact our scholars for life. Each scholar is paired with a caring and professional adult who offers guidance, trust, encouragement, and inspiration. Through a one-on-one relationship, mentors assist with life skills development, share experiences and expertise, while modeling positive values.
SUBJECT TUTOR
From subject-specific academic tutoring to piano lessons to fitness gurus, we always need tutors to share their special talents with our scholars. Tutors can help oversee daily study sessions or teach a new talent.
CAR POOL DRIVER
Our Scholars are very active kids participating in a variety of extracurriculars, and we can’t manage it all without you! Simply help us chauffer our Scholars to and from their activities.
PROVIDE A MEAL
Our houses eat dinner together on a daily basis to help establish a family setting. If you would like to prepare a meal or donate a meal for one of our houses, please sign up using our Care Calendar.

MAKE IT FEEL LIKE HOME
Help with household fixups, cosmetic improvements, and various other projects in and out of our Residential Homes and Academy Center.
Or volunteer your time and talents to help ensure our facilities run smoothly by handling supervising, administrative and clerical work, and maintaining function and order.
COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES
Let’s never forget our collegian scholars! Help us to continue the love, support, and thoughtful gestures by curating and sending out care packages to our hardworking college scholars!
SERVE ON EXECUTIVE BOARD
Our Executive Board works to raise funds through special events, social outings, mission-minded scholar events, and more. If you’re a young professional and want to build lasting impressions, share big ideas, and support the future of our scholars, we would love to have you join our Associate Board!
SPECIAL EVENT VOLUNTEER
Join our enthusiastic group dedicated to continuing our mission through helping at fundraisers, planning events with our scholars, and networking!
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES FACILITATOR
Bring more culture and integration with the community to our scholars by coordinating activities our scholars could engage in to grow our minds, bodies, and souls while forming relationships within our city!
INTERNSHIP or PRACTICUM
Partner with a scholar or collegian to further their hands-on career knowledge and growth while also enhancing your own business productivity; win, win! Ask us if we have a scholar or collegian who falls within your area of expertise.
